Spend Time Outdoors this Halloween Season in Orange County

The beautiful Fall weather of Orange County provides the perfect opportunity to spend time outdoors. With so many parks in the area, it should come as no surprise to learn that many Halloween celebrations are offered in the area parks, beaches and other outdoor areas. Here are just a few of the outdoor celebrations that you might want to check out this year.

Spooktacular Fun Days

Spooktacular Fun Days offers family-friendly fall activities at The Great Park in Irvine. The annual event offers treats, craft, games, a pumpkin patch and gourmet food trucks. Participants are invited to come in costume. Tickets are available for children 12 and younger for $5 plus a food donations, while adult tickets and parking are free. The event takes place on October 14th and 15th from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm at The Great Park, located at 5 Freeway and Sand Canyon.

Doheny State Beach Halloween Haunt

The Doheny State Beach Halloween Haunt takes place on October 21st at Doheny State Beach. This family-friendly annual event offers arts and crafts, an array of educational booths and a fun zone in a safe environment with good old fashioned spookiness.

The event takes place at picnic sites A and B from 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm. Admission is free, though a donation of one non-perishable item per person is appreciated. Guests are invited to dress up for even more fun.

Halloween Fun with Family and Friends

Stanton Park will host Halloween Fun with Family and Friends on October 28th. This special event is open to people of all ages and will feature DJ entertainment, games, non-profit food booths and a costume contest. Stanton Park is located at 7800 Katella Avenue in Stanton.

Halloween Carnival

Central Park will host a Halloween Carnival on Halloween from 6:00 pm until 8:30 pm. In addition to including a costume contest with prices for various age divisions, the event will also include carnival games and an area for children under the age of 5 to play games. The free event will take place in Central Park in La Palma.

Halloween Fest

The Villa Park Towne Center will host Halloween Fest on October 30th. At this special event, costumed children are invited to visit local merchants for treats throughout the Towne Center. The event will also feature a coloring contest, hayrides, food, pumpkin carving and commemorative photos.

The Pumpkin Factory at Westminster Mall

Throughout the month of October, you can visit The Pumpkin Factory at Westminster Mall to choose from a large selection of pumpkins in all shapes and sizes. At the event, participants can also enjoy rides, carnival games, face painting and petting zoo. Westminster Mall is located at 1025 Westminster Mall in the city of Westminster.
